Several days of sun have melted a considerable amount of snow. As a general rule, all south facing crags are snow-free and climbable with the higher elevation crags still having a snowy access.
The Left Hand Fork still has quite a bit of snow at the base of most climbs. The pipeline is snow free but the stream is running. You can drop gear on and belay from the off-cliff side of the stream.
Evenings have been in the low-mid 30′s. Seasonal winds have plagued a few good climbing days but you can usually find a crag sheltered from the wind.
Last weekend climbers were camping at the campground and groups were in the schoolroom.
The season has begun!
